I Don’t Work In My Pajamas

person-holiday-vacation-woman

I started working at home back in the ’80’s when it wasn’t so cool or even a trend.

As the time progress and working at home become more and more the “norm”. Big business started to incorporate this options to their employees.  It was cost effective, more productivity, and flexible. It was a total win-win for both the businesses and the employees.

The idea was sold with the concept of “work at home”, work in your pajamas, telecommute, save time and money, work from anywhere, be your own boss!

However, it’s not all that flexible, easy and you really shouldn’t work in your pajamas. As the virtual world keeps involving and you have more and more virtual conferences, webinars, meetings and so on.

We the virtual employee or freelance individuals have established a more professional look. Not only does it give us more credibility, but it does set us apart from the typical workforce.  We have incorporated a look, “The Causal Business Friday Look” as our regular look.

Why? You may ask……Simple, practical, professional, productive, credible, stylish, and above all the beginning of the minimalist trend.

If you are in the new workforce and have the power to work at home. Follow these simple rules.

  1. No Pajamas
  2. Exercise
  3. Eat healthy
  4. Daily Grooming
  5. Dedicated Work Space
  6. Take Time Off

Remember, all work and no play can hurt your morale and make you depress and stressful.

Happy

Is your blog used as a stepping stone by others?

person-1627693_1920

Is your blog use as a stepping stone by others? If you answered yes, you are right. No matter how much you try to protect your blog or  you did your  best with copyrights. Your blog can and will be used by others as a bridge to get better status.

Should you be sore about it? No. The reason you made a blog was to share information. As long as you get the recognition from the other bloggers you should be fine.

So why they have more followers than you? I know it’s not for the lack of trying. Remember these rule:

  • You need to blog every day
  • You have to be consistent with your chosen theme
  • You have to let people know you are out there. The web is huge, you are just a speck in its infinitive universe.
  • Social Media plays a huge part in this as well.
  • Choose your topic well.
  • Grammar is everything. Double check or even triple check for errors.
  • Pictures get their attention.
  • Captivate your audience with your title
  • Make sure you keep their interest so they can keep visiting your site.
  • Accept comments and engage with your audience. Make them feel special.

Never give up on your dream. If this is what makes you happy and you are dedicated to it do not stop.Maybe your stardom to fame will come later than sooner. You are here to built a solid foundation, not a trend or a passing wonder that eventually people will get tired of it.

Things Happen For A Reason…..

ecclesiastes-3-5-6

Good Morning, everyone. I hope your weekend was fruitful.

This morning while checking my daughter’s backpack I came across her bible verse for this week.

It got me thinking. I know we all have questioned one time or another, events that have happened close to us, and sometimes not so close.

I believe this verse should get you in the right direction to the answers you seek.

Enjoy your Monday. Remember to think positive. All things happen for a reason.

We may not like the answers we seek, but the truth never lies.
