Divorce 101

Hi everyone, you have all become a part of my family and I give thanks for visiting my blog. Today I will be discussing my opinion on this topic. I hope it helps someone out here.

Fighting Couples

Divorce is never easy. We all go thru some changes in our life and adding divorce to the pot really doesn’t help at all.

It really doesn’t matter how many times you have been thru this it really doesn’t get any easier. Your life as you have known it for a while has turned again. You need to get yourself out of these murky waters and re-evaluate what you want out of this.

For starters Think about yourself. Yes “Me” comes first and the rest will follow. You will have does moments that you will feel you made the right decision and you will have other moments when you are second guessing yourself. So Stop!

Do not second guess yourself. Move forward. The same energy and dedication you put yourself thru trying to make the relationship work are now needed in order for you to survive.

I know, going it alone is not easy. You now have the added stress of feeling like you failed again, but you didn’t. Commend yourself for walking away. Yes, you will still have the same financial problems from the past, but you are now in control to handle them.

No matter what, children are always hit the hardest. Lossing a parent or a segregate can be very hard on them. Explain the best you can, why this is happening. Do not make promises you cannot keep. Regardless, if those children are biological or not it will impact them emotionally and they are hurting too.

If this is your first divorce or you have been thru this before. I can assure you, they are not the same as it wasn’t the same in your relationship. If you need time for yourself, take it.

If you do not have the luxury to have time, financial matters need to be set and met. Then handle that first. Get a job, set a budget, maintained your household. Economised were you can, and do without were you can. Once you are stable enough you will be able to expand and get those added luxuries again.

Set realistic goals for yourself. Meet them head on. Do not give up. Be confidence.

You do not have to do this alone. There are others that have gone thru this and are always there to help. So seek them out. Join a support group. It helps to talk about it. You can do this.

I believe in you, and you will be okay. As I am going to be okay as well.

The Ultimate Guide To Working At Home

money-1090816_1280

So you have finally done it, you are working from home. Yes, the luxury of not getting up early. Dealing with commuters, traffic, parking space. You can now enjoy that cup of coffee or tea. You do not have to dress to impress or even worry about a bad hair day. Yep, you are in heaven.

Sorry to disappoint you, but you are going to have to rethink your game here.

Rule #1 – Set up a schedule

Yes…..yes….and yes. I did say it “Set up a schedule.” Why? You do not want to over-extend yourself or simply burn out. Yo want this to work, right? So set up a schedule.

startup-photos

Choose your the hours you want to work. If you want to work early morning, mid-day or late afternoon. Set your hours and stick to them. You are your own boss. These hours are not set in stone. Do a two-week schedule. See how that works for you. Do not forget to set as well your days off. You can have your weekend off, or every other weekend. Some people like to have one weekday and one weekend day off. Set your appointments around your work schedule, not the other way around. You are not free all the time and you do not have the luxury of missing a deadline because of it. You need to build a good solid reputation. If you do this, you will always have steady work.

Rule #2 – Do Take Your Breaks

Is a lot better and healthier if you take your breaks. Especially lunch or a dinner break. You do not want to gain extra weight by munching all day in front of your computer. Eat somewhere else. Do not eat in front of the computer. This is your workspace do not confine yourself. You will regret it.

If you have a patio area. Have your lunch there. Go to another room, enjoy your meal. If you are a smoker or a vaper. Do the same. Take your breaks. It has been proven people who stay home have a tendency to smoke or vape more.

Rule #3 – Get Out Of Bed

person-holiday-vacation-woman

The bed is for sleeping and not for working. Have a designated work space. You will be more productive, it’s easy to manage, you will be more organized. Have a work computer, laptop or tablet for work only. Use your spare for leisure time. Do not mix work with your personal stuff. Do not check your email every second or think you will catch up on your twitter or facebook. You have a mission, you need to work to make money, pay your bills and save for your vacation.

Rule #4 – Budget

Yes, do a budget. You supposed to be saving money. That is the #1 reason you decided to work from home. Put aside the lunch money you were spending, the money you had for clothes and other things. Remember you are now responsible for your fast internet, a good workable computer and a phone. So make sure you have your priorities on your spending.

Rule #5 – Do Not Neglect Your Health

You are being less active now. You are not running up and down stairs. Jogging for the train or even walking two blocks from your parking place. You need to exercise. If you already do, another 15-minute workout will help. Meditate. It will keep your mind active.

Socialized more, you are alone for most of the day. You still need time to interact with others. Do not turn yourself into a hermit. Remember, if you are Freelancing, a contractor or an employee chances are; The company you are working for may not offer you a health insurance  package so you will be responsible to get your own.

Rule #6 – No Pajamas

You can dress casually or even wear your house clothes. But do bathed and smell good. You will thank me later for this. Remember you want to give always the image you are employed not unemployed. The public is good at sensing how someone acts when you are employed. You always hold your head up high. You do not look like your scraping pennies when you go grocery shopping. You have a positive attitude about yourself. So always think positive.

Rule #7 – Do Not Be Ashamed or Apologetic

The work@home trend has been around for over 20 years. Now it’s becoming more popular. Your title is you want to choose one is, you are a “Telecommuter”, “Remote Agent”, ” An Out-Source Contractor”, “Freelancer”, or even a “Virtual Technician”. Do not sell yourself short by saying “I work from home.” Be proud of the company or companies you are working for. If you feel respected, you will be.

Rule #8 – Set Up Your Work Space

Be comfortable. Set up a desk, good chair for your back, a nice picture or even have your work area in front of a window. Make sure you have good lighting. You are not too cold, or drafty and you feel good where you have decided this is “work”.

When you are not working. Avoid the area altogether. This is where you go to work. You should sit in that area only for work, not for play.

Rule #9 – Avoid Burnout

Depending on your schedule and the type of work you are doing take a break. Go out! Do your research, go out and take pictures. Go window shopping. Go to the park, do something. You are not in jail. Get out of the house. Get some fresh air, Take the dog for a walk. It might help you think.

Rule #10 – Get Plenty of Rest

People who work from home, become workaholics. They just will not stop. Every waking moment they jump back into their “office” and go at it. Not good at all. When you are “off the clock” that is what it means. You are off work. Tomorrow is another day.

You need your rest. You need your sleep and you need to relax. You will not be productive to anybody if you crash.

Well, I hope these little rules help you out. I have done this on and off for the last 35 years.

Is your blog used as a stepping stone by others?

person-1627693_1920

Is your blog use as a stepping stone by others? If you answered yes, you are right. No matter how much you try to protect your blog or  you did your  best with copyrights. Your blog can and will be used by others as a bridge to get better status.

Should you be sore about it? No. The reason you made a blog was to share information. As long as you get the recognition from the other bloggers you should be fine.

So why they have more followers than you? I know it’s not for the lack of trying. Remember these rule:

  • You need to blog every day
  • You have to be consistent with your chosen theme
  • You have to let people know you are out there. The web is huge, you are just a speck in its infinitive universe.
  • Social Media plays a huge part in this as well.
  • Choose your topic well.
  • Grammar is everything. Double check or even triple check for errors.
  • Pictures get their attention.
  • Captivate your audience with your title
  • Make sure you keep their interest so they can keep visiting your site.
  • Accept comments and engage with your audience. Make them feel special.

Never give up on your dream. If this is what makes you happy and you are dedicated to it do not stop.Maybe your stardom to fame will come later than sooner. You are here to built a solid foundation, not a trend or a passing wonder that eventually people will get tired of it.

Can these two ever get along?
Can these two ever get along?

Election 2016 – The second presidential debate was last night. As we all know, while Hillary Clinton kept her cool and stayed focus on the issues that matter to the American Public. Donald Trump did not disappoint us with his typical ranting and putting the blame on everyone that can hold a candle. He is a real bully. He even disagrees with his own running Vice-President. This election is about Donald Trump being #1. He wants to win for himself. The Republican are at arm wits trying desperately to find a safe heaven with their candidate. In my book, Clinton is 2-0 with this big win again.

Hurricane Matthew

Hurricane Matthew – This was a very nasty storm. The damage and devastation it caused, hasn’t been seen in decades. I can personally tell you, we were without power. It was an ordeal to get fuel, supplies. My back yard is in shambles. My dog was terrified. My children were scared. We had no means of communication with the outside world since everything we own is run on power. We were without power for 2 a day and what save us was we are close to City Hall and I guess we are in the same grind as them. But when we lost the internet,  for 2 1/2  days. If  you are like me, who works using the internet this was a downpour. We give  thanks, to the utilities and Brighthouse for the heroic tireless effort to restored everyone life back to normal. For those who has lost their home, our prayers are with you. Just remember, you can always rebuild, a lost life is worst.

After Math Of Matthew

“Hi everyone, we made it okay thru the hurricane. We lost power for 1/2 a day and we currently have no internet service from Bright House. Some of our neighbors weren’t so lucky and are expirencing extensive property damage.

Just for now keep everyone in our prayers. The poor American will be back hopefully by the end of the week.”
